A Medical-Surgical Nurse provides general nursing care to adult patients recovering from surgery or managing various medical conditions, such as chronic illnesses, infections, or injuries. They assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed. Medical-Surgical Nurses collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.

They are responsible for ensuring patient comfort, managing pain, and educating patients and families on treatment plans, self-care, and recovery strategies. These nurses also play a crucial role in preventing complications, such as infections or blood clots, and are trained to recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.

The role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to handle a variety of patient needs.
