We are looking for a Technical and VFX Artist to join our game development team and help bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical execution. You will work closely with artists, designers, and developers to ensure our games are visually polished, performant, and production-ready.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working close to production, creating special visual effects and optimizing assets in our games.
Responsibilities
- Create, tweak, and optimize VFX, shaders, materials, lighting, and particle systems (VFX Graph/ Shader Graph ).
- Integrate, set up, and optimize 2D/3D assets, environments, and scenes in Unity for mobile games.
- Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to implement visuals aligned with gameplay and artistic goals.
- Create and optimize lighting for various in-game environments.
- Set up basic cinematics, animations, and real-time rendered videos when required.
- Implement Visual effects for UI elements when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to graphics, art pipelines, and performance.
- Maintain clean, organized assets and workflows using version control systems.
Experience & Skills Required
- 2 - 3 years of professional experience as a Technical and VFX Artist in Unity game development, with at least one shipped or live mobile game in production.
- Portfolio demonstrating visually appealing and performant game visuals is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Unity’s rendering workflows (URP preferred), lighting, materials, and real-time graphics.
- Hands-on experience with Shader Graph, VFX Graph, and particle systems.
- Solid grasp of mobile performance optimization and profiling.
- Basic scripting skills in C#.
- Good understanding of Unity UI workflows.
- Familiarity with 3D tools such as Maya or Blender.
- Experience using version control tools (Git, Perforce, or similar).
Bonus
- Familiarity or prior experience with development for Roblox.
- Familiarity or prior experience with Animation/ Visual Effects for UI.
- Familiarity with animation tools (2D/3D animation tools).
- Interest in building tools that improve team efficiency.
