Role overview:
We are seeking a Digital Policy Intern to support Tayari’s impact
grants and broader digital policy initiatives. The intern will assist
with research, drafting policy briefs, grant documentation, and
coordination with partners. This is a virtual role suitable for a
Master’s student in public policy, digital rights, international
development, or related fields. Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
Key responsibilities:
- Research digital policy issues relevant to Tayari’s programs and
impact grant areas.
- Draft short policy briefs, memos, and grant inputs.
- Support grant application prep and evidence collection for impact grants.
- Assist with stakeholder mapping and outreach for policy-related partnerships.
- Support monitoring and reporting of policy-related activities.
- Attend weekly virtual team check-ins and provide progress updates.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s degree in
Public Policy, Digital Rights, International Development, Law, or
related field.
- Strong research and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise briefs.
- Interest in digital policy, governance, or impact-focused work.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively across timezones.
- Prior experience with grants, research, or policy work is a plus.
