Teaching Tomorrow is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and reliable individuals looking to gain experience in education, or those seeking flexible work within a school environment.
Cover Supervisors play a key role in supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work set by the teacher.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
Delivering pre-set work and supporting pupils to stay on task
Managing behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
Ensuring a safe, calm and productive learning environment
Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the lesson/day where required
Requirements
Experience working with young people is desirable (but not essential)
Confident communication skills and strong classroom presence
A professional, flexible and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
