Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join one of our partner schools The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic growth. The role will initially start on a supply basis but with a possibility of turning into a permanent role.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing and feedback.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and respect.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behaviour.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential.
- Previous experience in a teaching role is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
