We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support our educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively with both students and staff, demonstrating patience and understanding, particularly when working with children who have special educational needs, including autism. Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities tailored to the individual needs of students
- Support children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and care
- Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to child education and care
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable, particularly in an educational or childcare setting
- Familiarity with special educational needs, especially autism, is advantageous
- A background in toddler care or early childhood education will be considered a plus
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
