Our partners in the UK are looking to strengthen their Corporate Video Agency that specialises in crafting explainer videos for diverse industries with a part-time 3D Motion Designer who’s full of drive and determination. As part of this role, you will craft unique animations, bring brands to life, and tell their stories through motion graphics.
Your duties will be diverse, and you'll have the opportunity to utilise a wide range of tools to showcase your skills.
Key attributes
As a 3D Motion Designer, your role will primarily revolve around adding motion graphics to 3D scenes that will be ready for animating, rendering and compositing in After Effects.
As part of your responsibilities, you will
- Understand the provided briefs, suggest ideas and follow a set process for successful implementation
- Masterfully animate the provided scenes, ensuring every motion echoes our style
- Create visualisations that convey accurate messaging for the project
- Ensure colours, fonts, images, and layouts are based on brand guidelines
- Render captivating visuals that amplify the client’s vision utilising Redshift.
- Composite in After Effects, making sure every animation flows seamlessly with voiceovers and achieves the desired visual effect.
- Respect the rhythm and timelines of projects, typically spanning over 5 days for a 60 to 90-second narrative.
- Suggest and implement best practices and optimisations throughout animation processes
- QA design for errors
- Implement feedback and changes wherever needed
- Edit objects and scenes using the Greyscale Gorilla's Signal 3.0 plugin
Lighting and scene setups will be ready, enabling you to focus primarily on the animation aspect.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field
- Proficiency in Cinema 4D 2023, After Effects 2023, Redshift Render, and Greyscale Gorilla Plus.
- Comfortable using the ACES colour workflow with prior experience
- Proactive, with the ability to lead a creative vision
- Excellent artistic skill set with a full understanding of animation and composition
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of the software and hardware used in the post-production process
- Strong understanding of scene layout to match plates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- 3-4 years of 3D Animation experience;
- Portfolio of work with a wide range of 3D animation projects - we are looking for your most recent and inspiring projects to evaluate your skills. A diverse portfolio is ideal for providing a quick summary of accomplishments and abilities.
