Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance and Accounts Executive with a strong background in the media industry. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide accurate financial insights to support the organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
- Handle day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts tailored to the media industry.
2. Accounting Operations:
- Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
- Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Reconcile media billing, ad spends, and production-related expenses.
3. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Submit financial reports to stakeholders and regulatory authorities as needed.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets, media campaigns, and production expenses.
- Analyze cost efficiencies across campaigns and recommend optimizations.
- Collaborate with project managers to align budgets with client billing.
5. Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data specific to the media industry, including ad spend ROI and campaign profitability.
- Support decision-making through financial modeling and performance metrics tracking.
- Evaluate profitability for individual projects and recommend strategies to enhance margins.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/CPA/CMA qualification preferred).
- Proven experience in the media industry, with a strong understanding of its financial intricacies.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of media-specific financial processes like campaign billing, production costing, and vendor reconciliations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with taxation, GST, and regulatory compliance in the media sector.
