provides grounds maintenance and landscaping services to both public and private customers throughout Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. We are now seeking to recruit Grounds Maintenance Operatives at our Grantham Depot.
Our ideal candidate will be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors, as this role involves a lot of walking and we operate in all weathers. Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred, however, full induction, including, Health and Safety, machinery and safe systems of work training will be provided. We pride ourselves in delivering a quality service and ensure that all of our staff operate in a safe and professional manner. Our staff are our ambassadors.
The majority of our work at present includes:
- Grass cutting
- Hedge cutting
- Shrub bed maintenance
- Tree surgery
- Tree planting
- Sports field maintenance
- Parks and recreation areas
Any experience of these roles or any other within Grounds Maintenance, Forestry, Agriculture, Landscaping or Construction would be an advantage.
A full UK Driving licence is a distinct advantage, as we operate a range of vehicles from vans and tipper trucks to tractors and ride on mowers. The ability to successfully obtain a DBS clearance is also an advantage, as many of our customers are schools, colleges and housing associations.
This position is initially for an 8 month seasonal fixed term contract (1st March until 31st October).
The work is seasonal; the hours are 7.30 am – 5.00 pm from 1st April until 30th September (45 hours per week) and 8.00 am - 3.30 pm from 1st October until 31st March (35 hours per week).
We provide full training, PPE and wet weather clothing for all operational staff. We prefer to recruit permanent staff from our fixed term seasonal positions and often promote talented staff to Team Leader positions from within our workforce.
