The Company

Our client is a company that organizes the collective buying of solar panel installations. They are independent experts in group buying, engaging with consumers to enable them to make well-informed decisions in a simple and easy way. They harbor long-term relationships with their various stakeholders by putting them first. Their team has an ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit, appreciating individual uniqueness, and allowing a light-hearted yet professional approach.

The combined purchasing power of thousands of households helps get you a competitive price for a retail energy plan or a turnkey solar installation. The company works with service providers participating in our group purchasing programs to make sure that customers are getting a high quality offer at a great price. Registration is easy, free and without any obligation. They don’t share your data with third parties unless you have accepted your personal offer.

What will your role be?

Our client's group-buying programs are designed to benefit all stakeholders. The programs work by gathering a large group of consumers to create efficiencies for the solar and storage installers which they can pass on to consumers in the form of competitive pricing.

The team works closely with installers throughout the program to ensure clear communication to consumers, smooth processes and high quality of service, which are key to delivering the best-in-class customer experience that they expect.

As Director of Community Engagement, you will be responsible for engaging with community leaders in the states in which the company organizes their solar group buying programs with the objective to build long term mutually beneficial relationships with them.

The Director of Community Engagement is primarily an outward facing role, and you will need to invest time visiting community leaders in the states in which the company is active or planning to become active.

You will also seek to build relationships with other colleagues working on our solar projects in other countries (UK, Netherlands, Belgium and Japan) in order to share learnings and best practices.

Below you will find the key responsibilities for this role:

  • Overall responsibility for developing and managing relationships with community leaders at all organization levels.
  • Taking the lead towards community leaders in explaining and convincing them about the results we can achieve together and how our model works including the role and responsibilities of all stakeholders.
  • Explaining and convincing what community leaders must do and when they have to do it. This is mainly focused on their responsibilities around active campaigning, educating and motivating their residents/members to participate in the solar & storage group buying programs in large numbers.
  • You will work closely with the marcom team to align that all communication of the community leaders fits well into the over-all marketing plan.
  • Keeping community leaders informed on progress and other relevant issues throughout the project, from preparation phase up to evaluation phase.
  • Closely work with your colleagues to successfully deliver the projects.
