Responsibilities
- Create import bookings with ocean carriers and overseas agents
- Monitor and update sailing schedules
- Receive and enter container packing list details
- Track and trace both international and domestic cargo movements
- Timely management of multiple lines of communication between suppliers, agents, ocean
- carriers, customers, and departments within the company
- Issue delivery orders
- Arrange trucking dray, OTR, and trans-load
- Track inventory
- Perform accounting functions including recording cost information
- Gather overseas vendors invoice for monthly payment
- Vendor relationship management
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean import logistics
- Trade experience preferred
- Knowledge of freight forwarding practices, terminology, and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work within time constraints, and perform under pressure
- Outstanding attention to detail
