Tax Accountant Duties:
- Review and/or prepare all tax returns and filings
- Ensure all client tax work is completed with timeliness and quality
- Create, monitor and ensure compliance with all tax procedures, processes and firm standards throughout the tax prep function
- Provide tax research when needed
- Assist with special projects when assigned
- Assist with all tax matters and communications, including direct client communications and client satisfaction with regards to tax preparation
- Train new tax professionals including
- Review and deliver periodic tax projections to business and individual clients
- Assist in continuous process improvement of all firm processes for client work
- Keep accurate time records daily
Goals and Expectations:
- Total time should consist of 75% billable time with a realization rate of $150/hr or greater
- Maintain an aggregate client load that is 3-5 times the gross cost of your position
- Clients and team satisfaction are 100%
- Meet and provide weekly updates to Director of Client Services
- Work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
- Be flexible as managers are frequently assigned changing priorities
Employment Requirements:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree, emphasis in accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting field
- Proficient spoken and written in English
- Punctual, meticulous, and reliable
- Courteous manners with the public
