We are looking for one (1) part-time illustrator/layout artist who is able to work remotely.
Reporting to our Design Lead, you are expected to work on:
(a) Worksheets: retrace/redraw illustrations so that these illustrations can be used in our sample tests.
(b) Educational Notes: lay-out our educational notes (Math and Science) according to our provided template and guidelines.
How This Works:
(1) The Design Lead will assign you your workload every month (approximately 5 to 6 worksheets OR 1 educational note), depending on your availability.
(2) You can expect the work to be as follows:
(a) Worksheets:
Each worksheet has approximately 60 illustrations and typically takes between 12 and 16 hours to complete. We have an expected turnaround time of 3 weeks.
Illustrations are black-and-white vector, scientific illustrations (graphs, diagrams, plants, animals).
Payment is a flat rate as all worksheets are approximately the same.
---
(b) Educational notes have approximately 35 pages. 1 page typically takes about 1-3 hours to create depending on the topic.
The layout is simple, with clear guides that need to be precisely followed. Accuracy and detail-orientedness are key!
Payment for notes is per source page.
(3) You are expected to deliver based on our strict design guidelines and standards. Your work will be screened by our creative team & if they do not meet our guidelines, you are expected to revise them accordingly.
(4) Payments for finished work (i.e. no further revisions) are disbursed at the end of every month.
🔺 Illustrators who struggle to meet our standards consistently will no longer be considered for future assignments.
📍 Good Time-Management & Ability To Follow Written Instructions: We’ll do our best to provide clear instructions on our guidelines and workflow. In return, we require people who would follow them well in our expected timeline.
📍Strong Design Background & Track Record: Undergraduate or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or other similar qualification highly desired, together with a portfolio that demonstrates strong design skills (Also: Portfolio > Academic Qualifications, any day!).
