Traction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager Instructor to join our esteemed team. As an Instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of technical project managers by delivering high-quality, practical, and comprehensive educational experiences. Your expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, combined with your passion for teaching, will empower our students to excel in their careers and tackle complex technical projects with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Develop and enhance comprehensive, industry-relevant curricula for technical project management courses, covering project planning, scope management, risk assessment, agile methodologies, communication strategies, and more.
- Instructional Delivery: Conduct engaging and interactive classes, workshops, and project simulations to effectively teach project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Real-World Projects: Facilitate practical project scenarios and case studies that mirror real-world challenges, enabling students to apply their knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Agile Implementation: Teach agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and guide students in implementing agile practices effectively.
- Industry Insights: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, emerging technologies, and project management tools, integrating relevant advancements into the curriculum to ensure students receive cutting-edge education.
- Collaborative Learning: Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students can actively participate and engage with their peers, learning from each other's experiences.
- Guest Speakers & Workshops: Organize guest speaker sessions and workshops with experienced project managers to provide students with diverse perspectives and practical insights.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Offer personalized mentorship and support to students, helping them enhance their project management skills and overcome challenges.
- Project Evaluation: Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' project management plans and deliverables, guiding them towards successful project outcomes.
- Curriculum Improvement: Collaborate with other instructors and the curriculum development team to continually enhance the learning experience and ensure the program remains relevant and effective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience as a technical project manager, leading and successfully delivering complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, including traditional and agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Trello.
- Prior experience in teaching, coaching, or instructional design is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex project management concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
