TSMA is Hiring an Admin Assistant!

 

Do you color coordinate your calendar and sock drawer?

Are you self-motivated enough to work from home most of the time, but enjoy humans enough to bring your fun personality to meetings with us and our clients?

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform supportive and administrative tasks in a well-organized and timely way. You will need to act proactively and without guidance while understanding the needs and characteristics of people with whom you work with.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Support various members of the team, in multiple divisions, with any tasks that might make their day or position more streamlined and efficient
  • Manage new experimental tasks or endeavors for the company, such as researching a new PR angle for our PR firm or looking into why Clubhouse could be a good fit for the firm’s seminars
  • Take diligent, concise, and well written notes on many different types of video and call-based meetings
  • Occasionally picking up and delivering assets to team members or clients in Los Angeles
  • Studio management for our photography location in Downtown Los Angeles (coordinating cleaning staff, restocking through Amazon orders, and more)
  • Logging, tracking, and organizing various company documents and processes
  • Occasional "personal assistant" type responsibilities (errands, etc.)
  • Be a self-starter. This position primarily works from home, and we don't believe in micro-managing. Do know, though, that you will have very frequent interactions with the rest of the team on a daily basis to carry out the job.

Role Requirements

  • Proven aptitude and skills related to the above responsibilities
  • Bonus points for work experience as an assistant, PA, or executive assistant
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge and English proficiency
  • Particular aptitude with creative and professional writing is very helpful
  • Mad bonus points if you have familiarity with Instagram, Notion, and/or Google Suite
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (Seriously—this is imperative. You will be tested on this. 💙)
  • Discretion and confidentiality with high-profile clients
  • High School degree
  • PA diploma or certification would be considered a plus

Compensation

  • This is a part-time to full-time, 1099 position (20-40hrs/week),
    • Our goal is to hire someone who has full-time availability, and ramp them up into the position
    • The hours generally start somewhat lower as you go through the training process, and increase as you get more comfortable and can take on more responsibilities
  • The starting rate is $15.00/hr, with a review for possible adjustments at 3 months, and up to $20/hr or more after a year
  • There is possibility for a larger starting rate from the start, based on sustained, direct experience in a similar role

Note that you will work from home about 90% of the time, so easy access to a reliable computer, phone, and internet is a must. We're a very mac-friendly company, though we accept PC-people too (see: inclusivity).

 

The other 10% of the time is generally errands around town, so reliable transportation will be necessary. We always compensate for travel time and gas.
