Job Description:
As a Junior Book-Keeper, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This position is ideal for someone with a Level 3 AAT qualification (or equivalent) who is looking to gain experience and grow in the field of accounting and book-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions (in multiple currencies).
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor company accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process monthly payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prompt payment of invoices received (including freelance workers, in multiple currencies).
- Perform general administrative tasks related to bookkeeping and finance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 AAT qualification (or equivalent) is required.
- Previous experience in book-keeping or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
