WordPress Industry Content Writer
Have you ever searched for answers in Google, and felt frustrated at the ‘me-too' nature of the top ranking articles? At UpdraftPlus, we're interested in doing things differently.
About us
UpdraftPlus is the global team behind some of the most popular WordPress plugins in the world. Our plugins are used by more than 5 million website owners to back up, secure and optimize their WordPress websites.
As WordPress Industry Content Writer, you'll be instrumental in helping us build a content engine that delivers quality as well as quantity of content.
You'll thoroughly research the topic you've been assigned (you may even be suggesting them!) and you'll apply your industry expertise to answer real life questions for users and to offer a different, more expert perspective.
Role requirements
Why us?
This is an exciting time to join an established business, and a friendly team as we pull together to help achieve our next phase of growth. Updraft has historically been very strong at the products it develops but there's a ‘content debt’ to catch up on, and an opportunity to help build a content engine that stands head and shoulders above the rest.
We genuinely care about our team, many of whom are freelancers. We choose our hours in consultation with the business but flexibility is built in because ‘life happens’.
We’re a team. We have weekly or fortnightly 1:1s (to be agreed) and fortnightly marketing meetings. Our meetings are productive but they’re also a time to connect with friends and colleagues whilst working from home. If you’re UK based (and you don’t have to be) you’re welcome to join us in our co-working space in Caerphilly, Cardiff, whenever you please. We aim to get together every quarter or every half at a minimum.
There’s a steady flow of work. There’s tons of exciting work to get your teeth into.
