Entry-Level Video Editor at Watermark Books & Café

Watermark Books & Café is seeking a creative and talented Entry-Level Video Editor to join our growing team. As a local independent bookstore, we pride ourselves on our commitment to promoting literature and building a strong community of readers. With a café that serves delicious coffee and treats, we offer a unique and welcoming environment for our customers to discover new books and connect with each other.

In this role, you will be responsible for editing and producing video content for our various social media platforms, promotional materials, and events. We are looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling and has a keen eye for detail. As an Entry-Level Video Editor, you will play a key role in helping us engage with our audience and share our love for books and community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Edit and produce high-quality video content for social media platforms, including but not limited to book trailers, author interviews, event highlights, and promotional materials.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative ideas for video projects that align with our brand and marketing goals.

- Handle pre- and post-production tasks, including video planning, shooting, sound mixing, and color grading.

- Continuously research and implement new video and editing techniques to enhance the quality and impact of our content.

- Manage video assets, including organization, storage, and archiving.

- Monitor and analyze video performance to make data-driven decisions for future projects.

- Maintain a consistent brand voice and style across all video content.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field.

- 1 year of experience in video editing.

- Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.

- Understanding of cinematography, sound design, and color correction.

- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to convey emotions and messages through video.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Passion for books and literature is a plus.
