Graphic Designer at Watermark Books & Café

Watermark Books & Café is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team! As the leading independent bookstore and café in the city, we are dedicated to providing a unique and meaningful experience for our customers through our carefully curated selection of books, delicious food and beverages, and cozy atmosphere.

As our Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand image and driving our business forward. You will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs that reflect our brand’s mission and values, while also engaging customers and promoting our products and services. Key Responsibilities:

- Design eye-catching promotional materials for in-store and online marketing campaigns, including but not limited to, social media graphics, print ads, email newsletters, and website banners

- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement creative concepts that align with our brand’s identity and vision

- Create visually appealing layouts for the bookstore and café, such as menus, flyers, and signage

- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style and brand guidelines across all design projects

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our design strategies and materials

- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

- Provide support for other design-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field

- 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a retail or food and beverage environment

- Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, composition, and color theory

- Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating unique and visually appealing designs

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
