About You:
As our Technical Lead Generation Manager, your main goal is to build and manage processes that capture new leads at scale—without needing direct outreach or marketing campaign ownership. You will be the technical backbone of our lead generation efforts, working closely with CRM, data enrichment tools, and automation platforms to ensure our sales and marketing teams receive a steady flow of accurate, high-quality prospect data.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage web scraping, third-party databases, APIs, and integrations to identify potential leads and gather relevant firmographic and demographic information.
- Evaluate new data providers, list providers, and lead databases to continually expand and refine our prospect lists.
- Enrich and validate lead information (e.g., job titles, contact details, company size, industry) using tools like ZoomInfo, Clearbit, Apollo.io, or similar.
- Configure and maintain lead-generation workflows in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot) or specialized lead-gen tools.
- Implement scripts, integrations, or plugins to automate repetitive tasks (e.g., data cleaning, segmentation, deduplication).
- Collaborate with Python developers to set up data pipelines (e.g., via Zapier, Python scripts, APIs) that sync leads between various tools and systems.
- Develop and enforce data hygiene best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency of lead data.
- Monitor databases and CRMs (e.g., Salesforce) for duplicate or incomplete records, merging or updating data as necessary.
- Regularly audit lead data sources, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and company policies.
- Implement or refine lead scoring models to help the sales team prioritize high-value prospects.
- Segment leads based on attributes like industry, company size, or region to enable targeted follow-up by sales or marketing.
- Continuously evaluate lead quality and provide insights for ongoing optimization.
- Track and report on key lead-generation metrics, such as cost per lead, lead velocity, data accuracy, and pipeline contribution.
- Proactively analyze lead conversion trends to identify gaps or new opportunities for data acquisition.
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing ops, sales ops, and leadership.
- Stay current on emerging tools, technologies, and best practices for data-driven lead generation (e.g., AI-driven prospecting, account-based data orchestration).
- Prototype and test new data acquisition strategies—like extracting data from niche platforms or automating enrichment with custom scripts.
- Evaluate the ROI of any new or existing tools and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2–4+ years of experience in a data-driven lead generation, marketing operations, or growth operations role—ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Practical experience with data scraping or lead enrichment tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, Clearbit, Apollo.io).
- Familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Pardot, etc.).
- Basic scripting or coding skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or SQL) to automate and manage data flows.
- Comfort working with APIs and data integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Workato).
- Strong command of data analysis and reporting; able to interpret metrics and recommend improvements.
- Meticulous approach to data hygiene, documentation, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with sales ops, marketing, and IT teams to ensure seamless data alignment and lead handoff.
- Eagerness to explore and experiment with new data sources, growth hacks, and automation workflows.
- Capable of troubleshooting and resolving technical or data-related issues quickly.
