We have immediate openings for Senior Back-End Developers to join our Back-End team and work together with Product Owners, Designers, Front-End and Mobile Developers to define and evolve new functionality for our video creation platform.
At WeVideo:
- You will help define and implement new models and workflows and expose them via new public and private APIs.
- You will help refactor and revamp existing models and workflows for our continuously evolving platform.
- You’ll have a strong voice in architecture decisions.
You are a great candidate if…
- You have at least 5 years of experience with Java and cloud-based applications; yes, 5 is just a number, but experience is a time sensitive thing.
- You have fun designing and implementing optimal data models, schemas and RESTful APIs.
- You have written your fair share of SQL and NoSQL queries, you cache data without even thinking about it.
- You are passionate about writing high quality, reusable, testable and efficient code. You are happy to review other people's code and get reviews or feedback from others.
- You have an Agile mindset, you work in increments and accept changes as an inherent part of Product evolution; Scrum and KanBan are not just daily “standups” to you.
- You choose your tasks according to priority. You ask “what’s next?”.
- You enjoy understanding how things work and the reasoning behind decisions.
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken); we accept Z as pronunciation for TH.
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in CS or equivalent work experience.
You’re a fantastic candidate if…
- You already have an account on AWS or similar infrastructure (GCP, Azure s.o.) and have already served applications with it.
- For you, it’s Spring all year long.
- You’ve cached data with Redis and indexed it with Elastic.
