- Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient’s medical history to diagnose and treat infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- Interpret diagnostic results, including blood tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds, to establish an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan
- Monitor and manage the treatment of newborns, including prescribing medication, performing medical procedures, and providing nutrition support
- Educate and support parents and caregivers on the care and development of their newborns, including breastfeeding, safe sleep practices, and neonatal health concerns
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for infants
- Participate in continuing education and stay up-to-date with advancements in neonatal medicine
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
- Adhere to all healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Requirements:
- Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Neonatologist
- Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Neonatology
- Board certification in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Neonatologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team and in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and families
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
