- Perform comprehensive, accurate, and timely microscopic examinations of tissue, organ, and cell specimens to diagnose diseases and conditions
- Analyze and interpret laboratory findings to provide medical diagnosis and create treatment plans
- Use various laboratory techniques and equipment to accurately identify and measure substances in the body
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients to educate and provide advice on disease prevention and management
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in the collection, handling, and analysis of all laboratory specimens
- Conduct research and participate in clinical trials to advance the field of pathology
- Keep updated with advancements and new developments in pathology and implement them in daily work activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Mentor and supervise laboratory staff, students, and trainees
Requirements:
- Degree in Medicine or related field
- Certified by relevant medical board or association
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Pathologist
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
