- Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and chest X-rays, to evaluate and diagnose respiratory conditions and diseases
- Develop treatment plans for patients based on their condition, medical history, and test results
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments to patients with respiratory illnesses
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide medical advice and education to patients and their families on the prevention and management of respiratory conditions
- Collaborate with other medical professionals, such as primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive treatment for patients
- Keep detailed and accurate medical records of patients' diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress
- Stay updated on advancements in the field of pulmonology and continuously improve medical knowledge and skills
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency and fellowship programs in Pulmonology
- Board certification in Pulmonology
- Current and valid medical license to practice in the state
- Proven experience working as a Pulmonologist
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in medical software and electronic health records
