YourParkingSpace is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our innovative and forward thinking team.

Overview of role

 

You will be specialising in projects within the car park industry, including multi-storey structures, surface car parks, automated parking systems, and maintenance of the existing managed estate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for surveying, cost planning, risk identification and financial control across the full project lifecycle – from tendering and planning through to the delivery of our solution.
 

 

Location: This is a field based role - travel within in the UK
 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Cost Estimation & Planning:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for new car park projects.
  • Develop cost plans and budgets aligned with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth car park surveys

Contract Management:

  • Review commercial/client contracts for new projects
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial terms and timelines.

Procurement:

  • Lead procurement processes, including supplier and subcontractor selection.
  • Support the business through tender processes for new business.

Project Financial Control:

  • Track project costs, variations, and valuations throughout project delivery.
  • Forecast and report on project performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Risk & Value Management:

  • Identify commercial and contractual risks; implement mitigation strategies.
  • Identify health & safety considerations within projects

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide commercial insight to support decision-making.

We require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
  • MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation (preferred).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with direct involvement in car park, civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and maximise value.
  • Proficient in cost management software
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
